Little White Book is an Award Winning Sheffield based company that specialise in exquisite wedding design and management. We cover Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Cheshire.
Your wedding day will be the biggest event you ever organise, most weddings take over 200 hours to plan, we can help you sit back relax and enjoy your engagement and the whole wedding planning process.
2. When did you set up?
I set up my business in 2008
3. How did Little White Book Start?
My mum is a dressmaker so I grew up in the industry. Our house was always full of beautiful wedding dresses. I didn’t get into wedding planning until I was 21 I worked in the wedding industry for five years before setting up my own company Little White Book.
4. Why did you set up Little White Book?
I love weddings, its just that simple. Its an amazing industry to work in, meeting new suppliers and brides is fantastic. I love helping to create and organise a day that brides and grooms dream of.
5. How many employee’s are there in Little White Book and who are they?
Being Self employed there is just me in the business!!
6. How did you decide on your business name?
I wanted to go down the route of a little black book, my mum helped me decide that with most weddings being white weddings, I could use the white instead of black, and hey presto Little White Book was born. Dont get me wrong I toyed with other ideas and names but I loved that one the most.
7. What’s the best thing about Little White Book?
I love weddings, its just that simple. Its an amazing industry to work in, meeting new suppliers and brides is fantastic. I love helping to create and organise a day that brides and grooms dream of.
8. What do you find most challenging about your business?
There is always a lot of pressure and deadlines to keep to, sometimes family life has to be put on hold. The same when I am ill, sometimes I just dont have the time to be poorly.
9. What have been some of the greatest rewards from your business?
I've met some amazing people in the industry getting to know new suppliers and build up relationships with them is always rewarding. I also won an award in 2010 from the Bridal Magazine which was totally amazing.
10. What’s the best thing Little White Book gives to its customers?
As well as 100% customer satisfaction and assurance that the wedding day will run smoothly. We work with some amazing suppliers, most of which offer great deals and discounts for Little White Book Brides.
11. Do you have any top tips for choosing a Wedding Planner?
Dont go with the first planner you meet, shop around, there are some fabulous weddings planners out there and we all offer different perspectives. you'll know when you meet your planner whether you gel with them and that they share your vision.
12. What three pieces of advice would you give to anyone who wants to run their own business?
Go for it, its scary setting up, for me it was the best decision I've ever made. There is so much support out there, it might be difficult to find at times. But stick at it.
