[Wedding Day Disaster] We've forgot the rings!! [Series 2/10]

These rings are a symbol of the
unbroken circle of love.
Love freely given has no beginning
and no end,
no giver and no receiver
for each is the giver and each is the receiver.
May these rings always remind you
of the vows you have taken.

One of the most complete nightmares is forgetting the Wedding Rings. I know most Best Men joke that they have forgotten them. But sometimes it does happen. I always make sure I photograph the rings, its a good way to make sure that they are actually there before the ceremony. I remember photographing them once, as the Bride had them so she wouldn't forget them - but she didn't have the groom's she had left it at home - but luckily he'd not left the house yet so everything went ok!

But if it does happen, and the rings have been forgotten, then why not ask around. Ask people who are important, your parents or grandparents - even just to borrow their rings for your service. The rings are a symbol, its how much you love each other that really matters.

[Wedding Day Disaster] What if it Rains? [Series 1/10]

All these are available here from £4.95 to £19.99

One thing you cannot control on your Wedding Day is the weather! No matter how hard you try. So if it looks like it is going to if you know your venue is likely to get muddy - then look at planning for the "worst case" scenario.

You can buy pretty wedding umbrellas for you or, you and your guests. You as a couple could have a pretty white one, and could even get your Wedding theme colour one's for the Bridal Party.

And why not Wedding Wellies! If you know your Venue can get muddy - or you have some idea's for photographs that you have discussed with your Wedding Photographer but you know that you will be unable to do in normal Wedding Shoes, then why not get some cute Bridal Wellies, these can be white to wear all day, or why not add some quirky fun colour under your dress and match your Wedding Theme colour!

After all, if you embrace the Weather, it is less likely to spoil you day.

Don't forget to tell your Photographer that you'd like to try some beautiful stormy skies!

[Studio] Pretty Wall Space

I cannot believe how busy I have been since I moved into my new Barnsley based studio, but I finally got around to getting some of my pictures on the wall. There are a few bits to still go on there - such as the Wedding Canvas to be replaced with a Newborn one, and something to fill the gap. But this is my newborn wall. And I cannot wait to get my Wedding Photography wall sorted too!

Let us know what you think!!

[Wedding] Hotel St Pierre Wakefield 18th May 2013

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Odelle and Ricky's big day at Hotel St Pierre, Wakefield. I met Odelle and Ricky, at the New Wheatsheaf Wedding Fayre at Castleford quite a while ago, and it was lovely when the booked me a couple of months afterwards.

I started with Odelle, who was getting ready at the hotel with her bridesmaids in the morning.

Odelle made her own button bouquet, with individual, and unique buttons. which meant something to her, and no two stems were the same.

Odelle & Ricky, shared their day with their close family and friends.

And lets not forget Odelle's gorgeous son Ollie!

We headed outside for a few close family portraits, before heading inside, to do the group photographs due to the rain.

Speeches were made before dinner was served, and I think Ricky's speech had almost everyone in tears.

After dinner, and the rain had eased, Odelle, Ricky, Ollie and I, set off down to Newmillerdam, for some additional photographs near the lakeside - and to give a quiet five minutes away from everyone else. And, because its Odelle's favourite place too.

Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Hardcastle, and thank you for letting me share your beautiful Wedding Day with you.

More details, and some additional images will be shared when Ricky and Odelle, have seen all their images.

[Wedding] Whitely Hall Wedding 17th May 2013

On Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing Lois & Matt's big day at Whitley Hall, Sheffield.

I origionally met Lois, who runs Ambience Venue Styling Huddersfield and Oldham, at a Wedding fayre at Pennine Manor Hotel, where we were both exhibiting.

The venue, was decorated, beautifully by Lois and her family and friends, including the flowers, table plans and the beautiful bouquets.

Both Lois and Matt were staying overnight at the Whitley Hall the evening before, which meant that I could nip and take a few shots of Matt and his groomsmen getting ready, as well as Lois and her bridesmaids.

The weather, stayed dry for us all day, for the guests to enjoy being outside having their drinks, photographs and mingling and spending time with the Bride and Groom.

We then started with some Bride and Groom portraits before going in for dinner.

Lois and Matt were blown away when they saw the venue, fully dressed for their Wedding Reception meal, the bunting, the lace, everything just beautifully finished and perfect.

Before I left at the evening, whilst the band continued playing, I took the new Mr and Mrs Beal out for one more photograph, with candle light and fairylights the perfect way to finish any fairytale wedding.

These are the images (apart from the last one) that were played on Mr and Mrs Beal's Wedding Slideshow during the evening reception.

More details from the Wedding, and some more of the bride and groom's favourite images will be shared when they return from their honeymoon.

[Idea's] Table Names [Series 7/21]

There are so many ways, to express love, so many words to describe love, and how people feel love - so how about having your table names as words of love...sayings of love - and feelings of love...
The spaces between your fingers are meant to be filled with mine.

To the world you may be one person…but to one person you may be the world.

They say Disney world is the happiest place on earth, obviously they haven’t been in your arms.

Love means giving someone the chance to hurt you, but trusting them not to.

You don’t love a woman because she is beautiful, but she is beautiful because you love her.

One smile can’t change the world, but your smile changes mine.

Love is when you see a person’s flaws as perfection.

Find quotes that are short, try and put them with pictures of you two as a couple (speak with your photographer and see if its possible to sort something out with your pre-shoot images) but find the quotations that mean something deep inside for you.
