[Wedding Day Disaster] Drunken Guests [Series 4/10]

Everyone enjoys a Wedding, and no more to use it for a good get together with partners, friends, family, good beer and great party. However, you will normally have one guest that may get over-tispy at the wedding, but please do not let it ruin your day!

If there is a big gap between the guests arriving, and sitting down to eat, look at the possibility of having canape's whilst the photographs are being taken, to help "soak" up some of the alcohol. Especially if there is a long drive between the wedding and the reception venue.

Also, why not have water and juice/punch on the tables as well as wine/toast as not everyone will choose alcohol, all the time (unless its their only option)

[Wedding Day Disaster] What if my dress gets dirty? [Series 3/10]

One of the many things that I find bride's worry about, one of the major ones must be that the dress will get dirty.

With wine, food, mud, rain, grass, and anything else you can think of, getting your Wedding Dress dirty is something that many people do worry about.

I have been at a couple of Weddings where there has been red wine spilt on the Wedding dress, but a tip to know is that white wine gets red wine out!

I personally dab the dress with a cloth soaked in white wine, let it dry and go back, and do it again, and again until the stain is gone. Generally takes about 10-20 minutes in total but can do it in between photographs depending where the spill is, or in between mingling with the guests.

Also, why not keep a little sewing kit in a "bridal survival bag" incase, there are any little rips of netting, or a dress needs taking in slightly on the day.

[Personal] Cervical Screening Awareness Week

Come on ladies - you need to get your bits out!!

This week 9-15th june is Cervical Screening Awareness Week, and I just wanted to give you all a kind hearted, and slightly fun reminder.

None of us like going for our smear, and I’m sure that some of us would rather stick pins in our eyes than think of being in a chair, legs akimbo, with some stranger looking very closely at our lady garden.

However it is important!

Last August (yes Wedding season!) I had CIN 3 Pre-Cancerous cells removed. I had an abnormal smear almost 2 years before, and that’s how it progressed.

All I can say ladies, is if you have been putting off your smear, or have never had one, then please go and get it done. And remember they’ve seen it all before! Xx
