[Wedding] Time Of My Life - Rebecca & Nigel, Holiday Inn Barnsley

On Friday 5th, I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and Nigel's Wedding at Holiday Inn Barnsley.

I started with Rebecca, her bridesmaids and mum whilst hair and makeup was taking place. A hive of activity, and was super warm! This was divided between popping into Mums room to cool down and have a little bit of time away from all the hustle and bustle.

The bridesmaids each wore black maxi, one shoulder dresses which had been customised with crystals.

Nigel, his best men, his son Adam and Rebecca's son Jack were also all getting ready at Holiday Inn which meant I was able to pop to their room to grab some pictures of the finishing touches to the men before heading back to Rebecca before the Ceremony.

Rebecca and her bridesmaids walked into A Thousand Years, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when everyone saw Rebecca and her Dad. Jack did a reading and he was amazing, I don't think I've seen an adult stand up and read something so long - and - complex without stuttering or stumbling over the words. I think he will be a good public speaker in the future!

Nigel & Rebecca had written personalised vows to each other which were beautiful, and if there were any eyes that had managed to not cry before, they definitely weren't dry by this time!

It was such an emotionally charged service, it is clear to see that these two are besotted with each other.

We then headed outside for group photographs, it was such a beautiful day the weather held up beautifully - definitely shining down on Rebecca and Nigel.

With both Nigel and Rebecca having their own Son's, it was a case of two families coming together. So we also made sure that we got them as a family unit - but not only that, one of them each with their "new" son.

Neither Rebecca or Nigel are too happy about having their photographs taking, and we discussed this at length at their pre-shoot. However, natural was the order of the day and after group photographs, it was nice to get these two just sitting and chatting and photograph the natural moments between these two. I think they loved being in their own little bubble!

After dinner, the speeches were had, speeches were given by the Father of the Bride, Groom, Father of the Groom, and of course the two Best Men! Lots of laughs were had for the Best Men's speeches!

Into the evening, there were lots of dancing, chatting and fun to be had. Thank you to the new Mr and Mrs Lee for allowing me to share your special day with you! X
