On Saturday 30th, I had the pleasure of photographing Steph & Kev's Wedding at Cubley Hall, Penistone. It turned out to be a beautiful day, and not half as cold as it was when we did the pre-shoot there a couple of months earlier!
I started with Steph downstairs whilst she was having her hair and make up done before we transferred upstairs into the bridal suite. It was lovely to be able to work with Midway Media Videographers too, highly recommended.
I absolutely loved Steph's Audrey Hepburn style dress. It was just absolutely beautiful. So classic and teamed with everything together it looked amazing. Steph's two bridesmaids were her girls Ebony and Ruby who both wore pink Amanda Wyatt dresses.
Steph and Kev were married in the Barn at Cubley. Obviously you can get married outside but Steph wanted to make the choice before the day, and they fell in love with the Barn so it made complete sense for them to get married in there. I personally love it in the barn - so I think I would have made that choice too!
You can just see how happy these two are together, one of my favourite things is being able to capture the naturalness between two people rather than things being forced.
We headed outside and down to the pagoda, where the drinks were being served. Such a gorgeous day and beautiful views. It wasn't basking hot sunshine, there was a little cool breeze but as far as the English weather goes lately - it was a gorgeous day!
I always try, where possible, to photograph the groups first and then photograph the couple on their own, and this is what we did here. Even though Kev doesn't like his photographs taking (and Steph isn't all that bothered either) they did so well.
The speeches were held before dinner, which meant everyone could relax and enjoy their food - which everyone definitely did! And then afterwards we did some more couple photographs and some more with the girls, before heading back inside to party the night away!
Many thanks to the new Mr and Mrs Scott for booking me for your Wedding Photographs.
