So here we have some Frequently asked Questions about Booking YOUR Ann Summers Party!!!

How much notice do I have to give if I want a party?

The more notice you give, the more likely we will be able to reserve the date you require. Party Organisers are always busy, with Friday and Saturday nights often booked up months in advance. The sooner you request your party, the more time you will have to get to your friends together and the date that best suits you.

How much will a party cost me?

Nothing... not a penny!!! Ann Summers Parties are free providing you and your guests purchase some items on the night.

Why should I book a party?

As a party hostess, you will qualify for 10% commission from the total sales of your party, in addition to the fabulous hostess gift when the sales of your party reach £180+ and you secure two further party bookings on the night of your party.

What will happen on the night?

Kimberley will arrive and set up whilst you and your guests make one last dash to top up those glasses. The party will start with introductions, some information about the company, how to join the team and all promotions currently running.

Your organiser will play some games to get you all warmed up, show the products, often do a raffle and then collect orders at the end of the night.

When will my goods arrive?

Delivery of all items will be made within a maximum space of 2 weeks, subject to the night of your party and the Party Organisers delivery date. Kimberley will confirm your delivery date on the evening of your party.

How can I Pay?

You can pay on the night using cash, cheque with a valid guarantee card and all major credit and debit cards. Should you wish to pay on delivery, only cash is acceptable and you may be asked to pay a £10 non-refundable deposit on the night.

What if my items do not fit?

Simply call your Kimberley and let her know. She may ask you to post the items to her so she can then exchange them for another size and return to you.

Can I get a refund?

Its all in the details...

Sometimes it does sound a little cliché to say that that the little things are just as important as the big ones – and it is true.

Most of the time the guests won’t remember the pretty flowers, or the cake that too lots of time to design, or that the colour of the napkins matches the colour of the cravats – however they will remember the style of the your big day.

The style is the result of lots of many beautiful small details, and here at Blue Lights Photography we make sure we photograph them all for you.

Big Chains vs Small Chains...

To go Big isn’t always to go best…

There are a lot of big photography chains out and about, and a lot of franchises, and it makes you wonder whether you should go big and brand, or go small and “boutique”

Lets have a look at something that we have to consider, and it might help.

Quality – at Blue Lights Photography we use Nikon high quality equipment. We shoot in RAW format, leaving you with the best quality images. Raw image files are sometimes called digital negatives, as they fulfill the same role as negatives in film photography: that is, the negative is not directly usable as an image, but has all of the information needed to create an image - More information about RAW Format can be found here

Continuity Blue Lights Photography is solely run by Adele, the business owner. With a smaller studio and company, you get to know the photographer personally and have a relationship with one person from start to finish. Adele will be there standing the Wedding Fayres and answering your emails and telephone calls, and will be there from delivering albums and prints. In a larger studio, you can sometimes fall in love with the sales person, and end up with a different photographer
Get to know what YOU want – Photography is a work of art, and is all about giving you images that you can treasure forever. When you interact well with a photographer you get to know each others personality, and therefore you can take that to a shoot and get better images. That is why Adele at Blue Lights Photography prides herself on regular and indepth consultations and subsequent contact prior to the wedding/shoot. This means that you get the right style of photography for you and your wedding.

Creative control – After the photographs have been taken in their RAW Quality, you want to know that your images will be looked after and presented to you in a way that is affective. This is where the post production comes into play. Images are processed using Adobe Photoshop and each wedding and studio image is corrected for colour, brightness and contrast, and given your custom effect that I create. In Larger studio’s the images can be sent off to an external editor, who has no direction from either yourself or the photographer.

Album design – By the time we get to choosing the Album and Album design, we have already discussed idea’s and know what we like and don’t like. This gives you creative choice over how many images you want within your album and whether or not this is achievable within the chosen style of album design.

Package/Pricing – Big Companies doesn’t mean Bigger discounts, and always look around smaller companies when choosing a photographer for any type of event. Here at Blue Lights Photography we have our Wedding Three-Step-Price Plan which means we have no set package. You choose what is right for you – within a budget you can afford. From £300 to £1500+ you choose what is right for you.

This information is always good to take into consideration, for any large versus small companies for anything.

Inspiration Boards

Inspiration Boards are an excellent way of getting idea’s across and a way of having a thought-shower to get everything together.

I ask my brides to collect or email across pictures and clippings before the big day so that I know what type of things they do like – or something they spot that they want to re-create. It is a good idea to do this as it also means that its good for them and us to know we’re all on the same page when it comes to their wedding photography.

I don’t just do this with Wedding Photography – I do this with Model Shoots, Pregnancy shoots, Children and Engagement Shoots. This enables you to get the best out of our Photography – sometimes its nice to re-create an image, sometimes its nice to create your own, but it gives you the opportunity to show what styles you like.

As a Photographer I will look around the Wedding Venue, or Location for the shoot [studio shoots not applicable] and then research an inspiration board, with the style of photography that I know the Bride and Groom, or Bride and Groom to be want...

Blue Lights Photography is aimed at giving you the images that you want…to treasure forever…

So have a little input too.

Someone said about us....

Lianne hired us at Blue Lights Photography as a photographer in 2010 and has hired us more than once.

Here's what she had to say...

"Adele is an exceptionally talented photographer with a real gift for capturing and preserving beautiful moments and bringing out the best in the people she photographs. She is extremely professional and dedicated to her work without being intimidating, putting even the shyest and most nervous people at ease. You won't regret hiring her!"

Some fabulous words from Lianne, I am looking forward to shooting her again in the near future.

Engagement Shoot - Cindy & Nathan

I had a lovely shoot on the 27th March 2010 with Cindy & Nathan.
I love hearing about how couples meet and seeing how much in love they are.

It had been raining all week and we were worried we were going to have to postpone the shoot - but magically it was beautiful weather!

They were an absolute pleasure to shoot and I am looking forward to shooting their Wedding.
