[Wedding] A Rainy Day for a football divided Wedding, Holiday Inn Barnsley

Zoe & Tive got married this weekend, with thunderstorms, rain and a broken foot to boot! Luckily Tive had broken his foot before the Wedding, and not a trip to A&E on the actual day.

Tive is a Barnsley Fan, whereas Zoe is a Sheffield Wednesday Fan - so it is always a good laugh with them, especially where football is concerned.

I started with Zoe, at her parents home where Hair and Makeup took place, and Zoe also got ready before going to Church for the Wedding Ceremony.

When I arrived at the Church, Tive, his Best Men (there were two) and the ushers were waiting for the Bride to arrive.

The ceremony was lovely, it was a beautiful ceremony, with two hymns, and plenty of laughter, and tears.

Luckily, after the ceremony, the rain had stopped so we were able to get some certain shots outside within the church grounds before the rain started again. Who would have thought it would rain so much in July!?

When we all arrived to Holiday Inn Barnsley (formally Brooklands Hotel) it was still raining, however we managed to get a shot with the gorgeous bridal car.

The cake, which had been made by one of Zoe's Bridesmaids, also featured the couple's dog Scooby! I had the pleasure of meeting Scooby at the couple's Pre-Shoot.

Before dinner, we had no choice as the rain poured down to take some couple shots inside, with the plan that as soon as it was dry after dinner we would run back outside to get some more! On days like these, we just have to play it by ear.

Speeches after Dinner had people in tears, and laughter in equal measure, and were delivered by Zoe's Dad, Tive and the two Best Men!

As soon as the speeches were over we managed to run outside for some more photographs whilst it was dry, we finally got to go into the Secret Garden, as well as my little Secret Spot at Holiday Inn Barnsley.

We managed to get Zoe & her Bridesmaids, and Tive and his "football lads" with the sunglasses before the heavens opened again. Infact, as the sunglasses were on it was just slightly starting to rain again. We had just got inside before the thunder started rumbling - and the rain started coming down again.

No matter what the weather did, everyone had a lovely and wonderful day.
And Zoe & Tive became Mr & Mrs - and that is what matters!

And this was Wedding 125 for Blue Lights Photography!

[Wedding] Where Two Families Become One, Tankersley Manor, Barnsley

Another Weekend in July, and another beautiful Wedding. This time finds me heading over to Tankersley Manor for the Wedding of Mr and Mrs Conry.
I started the Wedding with the guests arriving at Tankersley, people getting ready for the arrival of the bride.

The bridesmaids looked lovely in their mint-coloured dresses – whilst the groomsmen are wearing silver cravats.
Claire looked stunning in a floor length lace dress, with cathedral length veil – and a button bouquet. She was walked down the aisle and given away by her Dad, as both families looked on.

The Barn area at Tankersley Manor is by far my favourite Ceremony venue at Tankersley Manor. I love the rustic feel of it.

Mr and Mrs Conry, posed for group photographs and some couple photographs with the car, before they headed out for a little drive in one of the cars that had driven Claire to the venue – before returning to continue their photographs and celebrations of the day.

After some more photographs of the new Mr and Mrs Conry, we headed inside for Speeches, hearing lots of funny stories.

After Speeches it was back outside for some photos of the couple with their Daughter, a visit from Minnie and Mickey Mouse, and then the evening reception with a LIVE BAND!

What a FAB Day! Thank you for allowing me to be part of it!

[Wedding] An Independence Day Wedding where two become one, Waterton Park Hotel

These images are from the Slideshow that was shown at Mr and Mrs Lambert’s Wedding on 4th July at Waterton Park hotel.

I started with Gemma, the bride, and her lace dress was just beautiful with an open key-hole back.
Gemma’s hairslide was custom made to include both engagement rings from her grandparents – what a beautiful way to remember someone who is close to you.

The preperations took place in one of the big rooms at the Waterton Park Hotel side rather than across the bridge at Walton Hall. With her family popping in and out – and her bridesmaids helping her get ready  no-one was on top of each other like it can sometimes be.

Seth was in good spirits, albeit a little nervous for the Civil Ceremony. Gemma’s Dad gave her away and the ceremony was full of good spirits – laughs and full of love.

After the Ceremony photographs took place. Starting with the Bigger groups first it is easier because you, as a guest, then know whether or not you are further needed. The colour scheme was beautiful too and the blue definitely suited the blonde bridesmaids.

The weather was threatening to rain in tiny little bits, but luckily Waterton Park has some beautiful places for photographs, regardless of the weather. These photographs were taken under cover, but still look beautiful  -rain? What rain!

The speeches and meal took place upstairs at Walton Hall, with the evening reception downstairs in the boathouse.

The speeches included lots of laughs, embarrassment, funny stories of houses being flooded (twice) and a “kidnapped” child. (please note it was a staged photograph, and provided lots of laughs. No child was actually Kidnapped in the process of them planning the wedding!)

After speeches I headed back outside with Gemma and Seth for some photographs now the weather had settled before heading back in and partying away!

Thank you Gemma & Seth for allowing me to be a big part of your special day.
